A customer in desperate need of a lift cylinder for his Bobcat 873 called ConEquip Parts. Adam Bailey took the call and got on the situation immediately.
"The customer said he needed a lift cylinder ASAP and called Bobcat but a new cylinder was $1,300 and he just didn't have that much to spend," Bailey said.
Bailey didn't waste any time calling around to the teardown yards to see if he could locate a good used lift cylinder for the Bobcat 873. It didn't take long to find one of the skid steers with a couple lift cylinders still on the machine.
"They pulled the cylinders but upon inspection determined the cylinders weren't any good," Bailey said.
So the pursuit for a good cylinder continued and Bailey kept on it until another lift cylinder was located on an 873 skid steer.
"We pulled it immediately, got it in to the shop for inspection, and it was determined this one was good to go," Bailey said. "I put the bare minimum on the cylinder because of the customers budget to help him out."
Bailey said the customer was thrilled with the customer service.
"He left a real nice message on my phone. I'm glad I was able to help him out," Bailey said.
