Caterpillar has unveiled its latest addition to the wheel loader lineup, the Cat 995. While maintaining the same size as its predecessor, the 994K, this new model offers significant enhancements in terms of payload capacity, power, productivity, and fuel efficiency. With its advanced features and improved design, the Cat 995 is set to deliver exceptional performance for various heavy-duty applications.
At the heart of the Cat 995 lies a robust Cat 3516E engine, generating an impressive 1,847 horsepower. With a 39% increase in torque, this loader ensures high lugging forces during digging and acceleration in high rimpull conditions. The higher rated payload of the 995 enables efficient one-pass reduction when loading Cat 785, 789, and 793 mining trucks, resulting in up to a 33% increase in production and overall efficiency. The bucket capacity ranges from 22.3 to 57 cubic yards, accommodating a payload of 50 to 60 tons, depending on the application.
Caterpillar has focused on optimizing fuel consumption with the Cat 995. In comparison to its predecessor, this new model offers up to 13% lower hourly fuel consumption, contributing to cost savings and reduced environmental impact. The Enhanced Eco Mode further enhances efficiency, providing an additional 8% gain compared to the throttle lock mode. With these
