Ground Penetrating Radar

Digging can be treacherous for construction companies for many reasons, especially when it comes to hidden hazards below the surface.  Before digs begin, contractors get the necessary information from the county or state as to where electric, gas, sewer, and other lines are located.

These underground utilities are marked making it safe for excavators and other machines to dig.  At times, however, a contractor needs additional information or confirmation their digging tools aren't going to strike something sensitive.

Technology many companies turn to is ground penetrating radar (GPR) systems that help enhance the safety and efficiency of the job site.  Along with the ability to see underground, GPR systems allow contractors the ability to share important data with the team or other contractors.

GPR technology reduces downtime when something unexpected happens on the job site. The information is shared, getting construction back on track quicker.

GPR devices aren't difficult to master, ususally a manufacturer's short training class is all that's needed.

Radar can detect everything from underground hazzards to damage done to underground infrastructure.

Using GPR equipment is very helpful in keeping projects on schedule.
