Soon Kentucky will boast the biggest convenient store in the world. Construction on a massive Buc-ee's store begins Friday, September 24 when there will be a groundbreaking ceremony.
When completed, the 74,000-square-foot store, sitting on 200 acres of land, will be the flagship of the Buc-ee's store franchise. The store will be a stop for travelers driving through Kentucky and will have 120 gas pumps, EV charging stations, and a huge car wash.
The project will beat out a Texas location that is currently the largest convenient store in the world.
Buc-ee’s has 38 stores in Texas, and also locations in Alabama, Georgia, and Florida. More stores are under construction in South Carolina, Tennessee, and others besides the super store.
A Tennessee store being built will be more than 53,000 square feet, also with 120 fueling stations.
