Tree-huggers are going to hate this news.
Komatsu introduced a new addition to their forestry fleet.
Check out the new Komatsu PC230F-11.
This machine is designed for heavy-duty timber cutting and stacking operations.
Komatsu says a beefed-up swing system makes it easier to move large trees in a wider circle. The PC230F-11 has a reach of 29 feet and swing torque of just over 58,000-foot pounds.
Komatsu says the undercarriage is high and wide for working in tough environments and cluttered areas.
The PC230F-11 has a 197-horsepower Komatsu Tier 4 Final engine that Komatsu says is more fuel efficient than the previous Tier 4 Interim engine.
This new baby weighs 67,516 pounds.
The machine features Auto Power Max, which automatically adjusts to sudden changes in load weight by boosting power in 7-second bursts for pulling through trees during limb-removal.
And with any new machine, Komatsu says the cab is nicer, more comfortable, operator friendly, and most importantly, offers more safety.
