Caterpillar 322BL Final Drive Off to Montana

Parts Specialist Adam Bailey took a call from Mungas Company out of Butte, Montana in need of a final drive for a Caterpillar 322BL.

The customer Mr. Bennett indicated it was an older machine so they were looking for something cost effective.

"This machine only gets about 300 or 400 hours a year put on it," Bennett said.

With the CAT 322BL excavator with serial number prefix of 1YS, ConEquip is able to provide new replacement final drives with a motor that fits a machine with 16 bolt holes on both the sprocket and the frame.

Bennett confirmed their CAT 322BL had the correct bolt count so Bailey got the drive on the road to Mungas Company right away for much less than what Caterpillar had a new final drive for.

Mungas Company has extensive experience in earthmoving operations across Montana, Idaho, and Wyoming.  They do everything from production mining and ore crushing, to drilling, blasting, handling, hauling, and reclamation.

Mungas Company Owner Joe Mungas says they have worked on numerous projects, including mine reclamation and dam rehabilitation projects and have experience in dealing with dams involving large earthmoving operations in areas where water quality is of prime concern.
