CAT's Reimagined CTL Line

The heavy equipment giant has decided to reimagine their CTL line, sunsetting their D Model Machines. Higher efficiency, higher lift capabilities, and enhanced power all come with this next generation of CTLs.

Next Generation Machines

• The new Cat 255 replaces the 259D3 , and the 265 replaces both the 279D3 and 289D3 machines.
• These models feature improved engine performance, greater lift height, a more spacious cab, and enhanced standard technology compared to their predecessors.

Enhanced Power and Torque

• These engines provide a significant boost in torque compared to their predecessors, with a 13% increase for the 255 and a remarkable 43% increase for the 265.
• Lower engine placement improves visibility out the rear window and stability when handling heavy loads.

Increased Lift Height

1. The new machines offer a substantial lift height improvement, with the 255 providing 10 feet 4 inches and the 265 reaching 11 feet high.
2. This increased lift height greatly facilitates truck loading, making it easier to unload materials.

Hydraulic Enhancements

• The Cat 255 delivers 36% more tilt breakout, 26% higher lift breakout force, and a 24% increase in rated operating capacity (ROC).
• The 265 also offers a 19% higher tilt breakout force and a 22% higher lift breakout force.
• Standard hydraulic pressure has been raised to 3,500 psi, enabling operation of all Cat Smart Attachments with standard auxiliary hydraulics.
• High flow functionality can be activated for demanding attachments, allowing up to 30 gallons per minute of hydraulic flow at the standard system pressure. A High Flow XPS option further increases hydraulic system pressure to 4,061 psi for both models.

Improved Operator Comfort

1. The new models feature a more spacious cab, with a 2.75-inch increase in width and an extra 1.8 inches of footwell-to-ceiling height.
2. This enhanced cab offers 1.5 inches more hip room and 1.1 inches additional width between the joysticks.
3. Various seat options are available, including ventilated and heated seats.
4. The cab has an automatic temperature control feature and relocated vents for efficient climate control.

Advanced Technology

1. Both models come with a 5-inch LCD monitor, featuring Bluetooth connectivity, rearview camera feed, and various functionalities.
2. Operators can upgrade to an 8-inch advanced touchscreen monitor, offering advanced radio control and support for the 270-degree multicamera option.
3. These monitors are paired with advanced joysticks for integrated machine control and adjustment.
4. The advanced touchscreen display allows operators to customize tracks and lift arms' behavior.
5. The cab's entry has been redesigned for easier access and exit.

Attachment-Friendly Machines

• The Cat 255 and 265 are known as some of the most attachment-friendly machines on the market.
• They can run CAT Smart Attachments, which include dozer and grader blades, as well as backhoe attachments.
• Attachment recognition simplifies control by adjusting joystick patterns when different attachments are connected.

Advanced Telematics

The available CAT Product Link Elite system offers remote monitoring and machine health tracking, enabling advanced troubleshooting and the activation of the SEA High Flow feature.
