Mark Smith here at ConEquip Parts took a call back in May for a bell crank for a John Deere 544E. Mark provided the customer with an option for a good used crank priced at $1700 but the machine owner located in Toronto balked.
"He decided to weld save some money and weld his own," Smith said.
The bell crank held up for a few months but finally failed again..
"He called to see if the crank I had was still available."
It was, and Smith was able to get the crank on the road, and even gave the customer an additional $200 for simply keeping ConEquip Parts in mind.
