The Doosan Bobcat B900 Backhoe
The B900 has an operating weight of about 17,000 lbs, runs on a 76 horse power turbocharged engine, has a two wheel drive synchro shuttle transmission, with a 1.1 m3 loader bucket capacity and a 0.26 backhoe bucket capacity.
Doosan says the Bobcat B900 offers higher maximum digging depth compared to other backhoe loaders in its class making the B900 the best performer in its class.  When it comes to breakout force, the B900 offers up to 10% more.
When it comes to fuel efficiency the B900 is powered by a Kirloskar Engine, which helps in better fuel consumption.
With an optimized design, makers of the Bobcat B900 say economy mode operations can be achieved with 1400 Rpm and Power Mode can be achieved with 1550 Rpm.  Doosan claims higher performance even at low engine rpm helps in greater fuel savings.
The B900 is equipped with the industry’s best and proven components for longer durability, higher performance and reduced maintenance.  Major structural items are reinforced to enhance life.  Makers say a hydraulic hose distribution box provided in the hydraulic circuit of the B900 increases the life of the hydraulic hoses, while decreasing leaks.
The B900 also has a heavy duty Carraro transmission and rear axle.  The front axle has balanced cylinders with 16 degrees of oscillation for better performance on uneven terrain.  The backhoe also has higher ground clearance.
When it comes to the cab, Doosan went with larger space for the operator, increased visibility and ergonomic controls.  An adjustable suspension seat provides operator comfort.  The machine also has a large storage box and various storage compartments in the front and side panels.
The B900 Hydraulics is equipped with Parker Tandem Gear Pump with an advanced hydraulic system that automatically redirects the hydraulic flow to the tank when hydraulic functions are in neutral. When there is a higher hydraulic pressure requirement, flow from the second pump is redirected to the tank to reduce the load on the engine. These advanced hydraulic features will reduce power consumption from engine to help with high fuel efficiency.
