Yesterday's blog featured Saudi Arabia's plan to create a trillion dollar mega city big enough for five million people.  The project, that will take decades to complete, will likely see the use of "Green Hydrogen".

Many companies have incorporated aggressive strategies to cut down carbon emissions.  Powering machines on alternative energy sources like electric is a goal of most large corporations.  However, EV technology only goes so far at this point, leaving larger machines like ones found in mines, dependent on diesel fuel.  This is where green hydrogen comes in to play.

In the mining sector, hydrogen is mostly fueling big mining trucks.

At the moment, hydrogen technology isn't an efficient, cost effective way to power machines.  There is a lot in the way of infrastructure support needed to make green hydrogen a competetive solution.

The renewable energy sector also needs to develop partnerships with mining companies, to create a new business model.

Mining companies ready to start taking a step towards green hydrogen are encouraged to do the research, find a suitable compnay, and create a pilot project in order to understand how all the different elements, including renewables, batteries and hydrogen, work together.
