Season 3 of America's Hardest Worker

When the ConEquip team began reviewing nominations for Season 3 of America’s Hardest Worker, we were moved by the sheer volume of incredible stories—each one a powerful reflection of grit, passion, and dedication. Among the top finalists were Lexi Brown, a trailblazing equipment operator from Florida who’s breaking ground in a male-dominated field, and Peter Musial, a technician at a Kubota dealership known for his expertise and willingness to go above and beyond. While every nominee impressed us, one name continued to rise to the top—John Skibicki, a 77-year-old Vietnam veteran from Coxsackie, New York, who still works full time at Ducommun manufacturing parts for Sikorsky helicopters and Boeing aircraft. His story of lifelong service and steadfast commitment made a deep impact on our team.

John wasn’t chosen solely for his years of experience or technical skill—he represents the heart of this contest. He’s the kind of person who leads not with words, but with consistent action and humility. Known for his spotless work area, early arrivals, and generous support of coworkers, John elevates everyone around him without seeking the spotlight. He embodies the values we aim to recognize through America’s Hardest Worker—loyalty, integrity, and a deep-rooted commitment to doing the right thing every day.

In a season full of deserving candidates, choosing John as the winner was a humbling reminder of the quiet excellence found in everyday heroes. While Lexi, Peter, and so many others inspired us with their strength and work ethic, John’s story left a lasting impression we couldn’t ignore. His example reinforces the purpose of this contest: to honor those who work hard, give back, and never stop pushing forward—no matter their age or recognition. We’re proud to celebrate him as the Season 3 winner.
